Colin Powel Endorses Joe Biden for Upcoming Elections

Retired four-star general of the United States Army and former Republican secretary of state Colin Powel says he will not vote for Donald Trump in the upcoming elections. The retired general has always been against the current President due to his unusual behaviour and controversial statements regarding sensitive matters.

While talking to CNN in a recent interview, Powel said he will be voting for Joe Biden citing that he is “deeply troubled by the way in which he [Trump] was going around insulting everybody.”

Talking about the recent protests in the US, Powel said: “I think what we’re seeing now with the most massive protest movement I have ever seen in my life, I think it suggests that the country is getting wise to this and we’re not going to put up with it anymore.”

Powel is not the first high ranking military official who seems to be disappointed from the President. Previously, James Mattis, a retired Marine Corps four-star general, John Allen, a retired Marine Corps four-star general, and Mike Mullen, a retired Navy admiral, have also criticized Trump’s for mishandling the peaceful protests that are currently happening in the US in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

On the other hand, Donald Trump was quick to respond to the former secretary of state and called him a “real stiff” who was responsible for the war in Iraq when Iraq did not have any weapons of mass destruction.

Trump was also quick to list down his accomplishments and stated on Twitter that “I will have gotten almost 300 Federal Judges approved (a record), Two Great Supreme Court Justices, rebuilt our once depleted Military, Choice for Vets, Biggest Ever Tax & Regulation Cuts, Saved Healthcare & 2A, & much more!”
