Most Politically Active Celebrities

Every day, more celebrities add their voices to political issues, as they realize that their voices may have a great deal of power. This article examines some stars who have played significantly on the political scene throughout their careers.

Lebron James

The NBA superstar has spoken loudly on several political issues, notably the Black Lives Matter Movement. He has spoken on social media about the deaths of George Floyd and all the incidents that arose because of that death. He was also outspoken about the death of Breonna Taylor and Jacob Blakes, tweeting aggressively about them. Additionally, he led a multimillion-dollar recruiting effort to recruit poll workers ahead of the 2020 United States election. 

Jane Fonda 

Fonda is an actress who has always been an activist. She protested the Vietnam war and has since then used her platform to rally for social change. In 2019. She launched a campaign to battle climate change which continued well into 2020. 

Michael B. Jordan

The star from Black Panther has consistently campaigned for diversity. He was part of a BLM march in 2020, and his contract contains a diversity clause. His breakout role as an actor came in a movie that showed the life of a 22-year-old father that was killed by the police. 

Billie Eilish

The superstar spoke actively against Donald Trump and for Joe Biden in 2020. She spoke at the Democratic National Convention, telling people to vote for a leader that will tackle climate change and COVID rather than deny them.
